Commissioned through Nuku Studio - Center for Photographic Research and Practice, I documented Kerry Lemon’s Nyra project on location in Tamale, Ghana. The project centres the traditional making of shea butter and Kerry’s creative exchanges with local communities. These moments of connection and craft are integral to Nyra’s aim: exploring how aesthetic, physical, and emotional experiences beneath Tamale’s shea canopies might inspire higher-income individuals to invest in climate-smart agriculture and support meaningful climate action.
